Belemnitella is an extinct genus of belemnite from the Late Cretaceous of Europe and North America. Belemnitella was a squidlike animal, probably to the ancestors of modern squids and cuttlefish. The shell was internal, but with 2 parts. There is the guard (which is found the most often) and the phragmocone.
