Species

Calamospondylus (meaning "quill vertebrae") is a theropod dinosaur genus. It lived during the Early Cretaceous, and its fossils were found in England. The type species, Calamospondylus oweni, was described by amateur paleontologist Reverend William Darwin Fox in 1866, but is based on fragmentary material. It has been part of a confusing taxonomic issue also involving Aristosuchus and Calamosaurus (which was also named "Calamospondylus", but then renamed).
