The Lepidosauria are reptiles with overlapping scales. They include the tuataras, lizards, snakes and amphisbaenians. They are part of the greater group Lepidosauromorpha, which includes lepidosaurs and all other reptiles more closely related to lepidosaurs than archosaurs.
