Panarthropods are one of the major groups of animals. They have ancestors dating back to what might be the late ediacaran period. Panarthropods as their name suggests includes Arthropoda and Lobopoda.
Life history[]
Some common features of Panarthropods is that many have a segmented body with claws and a ventral nervous system. Panarthropoda in species count is the largest taxon of its kind due to the fact it contains Arthropoda. Panarthropoda also includes Lobopoda, better known as water bears and velvet worms.
Evolution[]
Panarthropoda is generally classified in Ecdysozoa. Some early fossils which may be panarthropoda date from the Ediacaran. However they may be some form of unrelated worm.
