Viavenator is a type of Theropod that lived in modern day Argentina.

Viavenator it is mostly considered to belong to the family Furilesauria which belonged to the Abelisauroidea. This includes Carnotaurus and Abelisaurus. The super family then belonged into a larger group known as the Ceratosauria which included Noasaurus, Elaphrosaurus, and Ceratosaurus. Then the group belonged to Theropods which included Cryolophosaurus and theDilophosauridae.

Viavenator wasn't described until 2016 after Alcovasaurus and a new Species of Iguanodontid was described.
